PARTNER YOGA AND MASSAGE

Evon Hart - CYI 2003, Founder
Sunday, February 15 • 3-5pm
$50 per partnership - SOLD OUT!

Yoga props help us experience poses in a new and deeper way, and another person is an excellent human prop! This workshop is a fun way to experience poses differently through the support and leverage that a friend or significant other can offer. In these times of disconnect and distraction, it’s even more special to turn off devices and be fully present with another person. Students will explore some familiar and possibly some new postures, and class will also incorporate some user-friendly massage techniques.

Sure, this class is a super special date experience with your loved one… AND… the workshop is not exclusively designed for romantic partnerships! Bring a friend, family member, ask a fellow student from our community or let us know if you want to attend and need a partner.

DESIRÉE RUMBAUGH: Being the Lighthouse, A Weekend workshop

SOLD OUT! Join wait list below.

February 27-March 1, 2026
Earlybird by January 16th: $220 | $250 after

Find your light, and be the light that endures for all around you. You are not here to chase ships or shout into the storm, to convince waves to still themselves, or to make the wind remember your name. You are here to stand tall on sacred rock, rooted in truth, rising from stillness. You are the lighthouse. You do not move. You shine. You are not responsible for who anchors or who drifts. You are responsible only for the integrity of your own light. We can carry it brightly through our entire lives in a way that will inspire us and those around us to keep our hearts and minds open and curious.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • How to weave deep core strength into every posture

  • New insights about connecting your arms to your upper back

  • The safest way to increase flexibility in your spine

  • Fun and challenging work that will help with your balance

Weekend schedule:

  • Friday, 2/27: 6-8:30p | Do the Work and Find Your Freedom: Hip Openers

  • Saturday, 2/28: 2-4:30p |  The Balance of Strength and Softness: Shoulders and Backbends

  • Sunday, 3/1: 10a-12:30p | The Power of Twists

  • Sunday, 3/1: 2-4:30p | Full Spectrum Practice

It is an honor to welcome Desirée back to Community Yoga. Immersed together for a weekend of study is soul medicine for our hearts, minds and bodies. With 40 years of experience, Desirée demonstrates the never-ending curiosity that drives a yoga student to grow and evolve throughout their lifetime.

Desirée’s Workshop cancellation policy: This workshop is expected to sell out. If cancelling by January 26, students will receive a full refund minus 20% processing fee. Cancellations after January 26th and before February 16th: a refund will only be issued if we can fill your spot, minus 20% processing fee. Students cannot sell their spots to others without confirming with Community Yoga, as there is a waiting list. No refunds after February 16th.

KRISHNA DAS

Tuesday, May 12th • 6-7:30pm
Unity of Phoenix Spiritual Center
Buy tickets here.

Few figures in modern spirituality, particularly in the West, have impacted the hearts and minds of contemporary seekers as much as Krishna Das has. A devotee of the North Indian Saint, Neem Karoli Baba (Maharajji), Krishna Das has played an enormous role in popularizing the traditional practice of Kirtan in the West, taking the call-and-response chanting out of yoga centers and temples and into concert halls, becoming a worldwide icon and the best-selling western chant artist of all time. In a career spanning more than two decades, KD has released 17 acclaimed full-length albums, his music serving as an easily approachable gateway to the devotional traditions of the East. Along the way, he has evolved into an accessible if somewhat reluctant teacher, and a spiritual friend to many. He travels the world sharing his Kirtan practice and stories of his life on the Path, of Maharajiji, and advocates for bringing regular spiritual practice into our lives through retreats and workshops. During COVID times he chanted online every week for the worldwide satsang. More information on KrishnaDas.com.
