A deep dive into the intricate connections between breath, movement and the pelvic floor, fostering a deeper understanding of how yoga can support and enhance pelvic wellness. Through a combination of asana, pranayama and a guided meditation, participants will learn how to:
- Cultivate Awareness: Gain insight into the anatomy and function of the pelvic floor, its connection to our breath as well as its roll in lower back and hip stability
- Strengthen and Stabilize: Explore asana specifically tailored to target and tone the muscles of the pelvic region
- Release and relax: Discover gentle yet effective techniques to release tension and alleviate discomfort in the pelvic area
- Experience in Practice: Integrate an understanding of how to address your pelvic health needs within a yoga practice
Lauren Hill has been a Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Specialist at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ since 2014. She completed her 200Hr YTT at Urban Yoga in Phoenix in 2020 as well as a Prenatal Yoga Teacher training and Yoga for Women’s Health training in 2021.
